Kirsten has over 18 years’ experience in Learning and Development and has run her own business for the last 11 years, specialising in leadership and team development.  She regularly coaches, facilitates and works with senior leaders and their teams, helping them to develop the skills they need to thrive in complex and demanding environments.  She has extensive experience in the NHS, across all professions and sectors. She has also worked regularly with global food manufacturers.

Expertise

Kirsten is a skilled facilitator and coach who thrives on helping leaders, teams and organisations reach their full potential. Her work is varied and can range from creating safe spaces for senior leadership teams to talk openly and honestly with each other, to helping teams realign themselves after substantial organisational change.   She approaches situations with a mix of pragmatism and optimism, and can build trust quickly and analyse complex situations astutely and sensitively.  She is MBTI qualified.

Coaching style

Kirsten is a warm, interested and engaging coach, creating an environment where coaching clients can explore their situations freely and openly. She’s not afraid to ask tough questions to help clients make progress where they haven't been able to before, but balances this with encouragement and support.  Kirsten uses a range of techniques and approaches to help coaching clients gain clarity, insight and understanding; so that by the end of each session they feel ready and able to act.

Kirsten strongly believes that “we almost always have the answers we’re looking for; but often haven’t found the right question to ask, the confidence to ask it, or the headspace to listen to the answer. One of the most enjoyable parts of coaching is creating an environment where a client feels relaxed and purposeful enough to be able to do these things. I’ve worked with clients at their most exciting, ambitious, challenging and uncertain times; and the benefit that greater clarity, understanding and insight can give at these times can be transformative – to individuals, teams and organisations.”
