Following a successful corporate career, in blue chip International companies at Director, Managing Director and Chief Executive in Europe and North America, Chris left the corporate world to focus on management and personal development for senior executives.
He has experience in a wide variety of industry sectors and business cultures which have included Brewing, Biotechnology, Agriculture, The Public sector and facilitating workshops with the National Trust to create new strategies for visitor centres.
Chris specialises in improving company performance through strategic focus and motivating people to achieve.
Qualified as a Coach through the Scottish Leadership Foundation, Chris uses a variety of concepts and is a credited LogoVisual Thinking Practitioner from the Centre for Management Creativity to motivate and involve staff to set positive and realistic goals to achieve new objectives in business and personal life.
A Group Chairman for Vistage International, the world's leading organization for CEO's, brings him into contact with many different situations in diverse companies of all sizes.
An interest in the Arts has closely involved him as Chairman and Trustee for the Paragon Ensemble, an internationally recognised contemporary music group and The Farleys Yard Trust, set up by the Penrose family to extend the Lee Miller Archives and the Roland Penrose surrealist art collection. Chris is also a Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society, where his interest is in wildlife photography.
A Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Chris has a charismatic, authoritative but approachable personality which enables him to communicate and interact effectively from Board level through all levels of Management to the shop and office floor.
