New coaching programme for Epsilon International employees based in Germany

Epsilon International, the world's largest email marketing business, has introduced a tailored coaching programme for its employees in Germany.

Working with four managers from the sales and client services team, executive coaches from coaching and leadership development company Unlimited Potential, will provide one-on-one support and development to enhance employees' communication skills over the coming months.

Epsilon International HR Director Sarah Till-Vattier, who is based at the company's UK offices, and is responsible for the training and development of around 165 employees across nine countries covering the company's EMEA and APAC regions*, said: "Epsilon International has a comprehensive HR programme in place comprising professional development, technical training and management development.

"As part of this mix, Epsilon International offers one-to-one coaching, which up until now has only been provided for senior directors. Recently, we extended our individual support and development programmes and offered targeted coaching to middle management staff, initially trialling it in the UK with great results.

"To continue the programme, a need was highlighted to offer support and self-development to our managers in Germany to help boost communication skills within the team both internally and externally.

"The coaching programme is a new HR development in our German office. Traditionally, coaching in Germany has generally not been a popular HR tool and has been seen in a negative way. We are hoping that the programme will highlight that coaching is a highly effective support and development service.

"Introducing coaching to middle management staff forms part of our long-term HR strategy to work towards embedding a coaching culture across the organisation."
