16 Personality Factors (16PF)
A measure of personality traits
Summary
The 16PF instrument is a robust measure of personality traits. It was developed by Raymond Cattell in 1949. The current fifth edition is one of the most valid predictors of human behaviour and based on over 50 years of research and testing. The 16PF questionnaire assesses an individual’s personality against 16 personality factors. This provides a valid and accurate predictor of future behaviour. The 16 factors are:

For ease of feedback, these can be further grouped into five global factors: Extraversion; Independence; Tough-Mindedness; Anxiety; Self-Control
Administration
About ½ hour to complete. Individual feedback, accompanied by a brief report.
Unique features
The 16PF5 is one of the most widely used and respected personality profiles, based on Cattell’s identification of the 16 primary components of personality. Excellent for development and selection.

Chris Cater
